Yudanaka-Onsen has a long history as a hot spring resort, dating back to the seventh century. The Yumoto inn had the first license in the hotel buisiness.
The inn has a wide Japanese garden that leaves an old atmosphere and hands down a quiet appearance to the Japanese inn which has stuck to guest rooms built of wood.
Dinner is mainly prepared with vegetables in season which we purchase at a local market and we make an effort to live up to the expectation that dinner is not showy, but delicious.
The large bathhouse which faces the Japanese garden and the Ohyu bathhouse make you feel an old hot spring atmosphere at front entrance of the inn, and are available 24 hours a day.
We devote ourselves to keeping up a tradition that "The Japanese inn is very pleasant".

These are the stately roofs of the main building that were built by a local master carpenter in 1962.
This is a scene that we hope to retain in modern times; even though this traditional style of building is steadily declining.

- When you walk down the hot spring alley and then duck under the brown shop curtain and head down corridor, you can feel the expanse of living space. The inn is a mansion of stillness that makes you forget the din and bustle of city. There used to be a courtyard in the inn in the old days, but it almost can not been seen now, as the height of building has increased. The inn has carried on the tradition of its natural view uo to these days. Spring has the bush warbler singing. Early summer has the firefly glowing; the chirping of a cicada in midsummer. Autumn has Colored leaves. Each of the for seasons has its own tastefulness.
